No news yet...

Today is the 7th day since the date of accident. According to Corey, the guy that knocked my car, he is supposed to feedback me about the insurance status on Wednesday... Unfortunately, he didn't and I suspect, he is trying to avoid and run away from his responsibility.

Pastor Joseph and Brother Rob; also my dad's friend, Uncle Leong, even Jason are trying to assist me by hunting this guy.

I am waiting for the police officer's feedback (who was at the site). He should be calling me tonight or tomorrow due to his night shift duty.

Friends, please pray alongside with me because all I want is justice and righteousnesses. Such person should not have their way.

Thanks for praying.

PS: If you enlarge the photo, you would be able to see his face.

An amazing grace

After days of research, we thought it's no other options but to wait for another 3months before I could sit for my IELTS General Test. Guess what? God did it again!

God, through Debbie's (research anointing), she managed to find this university and confirmed a place for my General Test on June 14, 2008. *WOW* This is surely a god thing!!! So, without any hesitation, we quickly packed and got unto the journey to Hawthorn Melbourne University.

The university is around 30km away from our home. As soon as we got into the registration office, we heard another amazing news which eventually confirmed that, it's God that did it for us! Reasons are:
  1. All the IELTS Test Centre's earliest test for General Text Paper falls on September 27 and beyond. I can't afford to wait that long because of my PR Visas application. Miraculously, this uni. offered us a place.
  2. When we heard from the registrar, she said, the uni. had only decided to open a few more extra seats even though the application is packed. And this decision had only confirmed a few days ago. By the way, the website was only been altered 2days ago. This is surely a *WOW* thing!!!
Here, I would like to thank God and Debbie for their partnership. Without them, I would probably miss out this experience and opportunity.

Hallelujah!

An accident, an experience

20080524 at 9:45am - Coburg, VIC
As planned, the family were excited and looking forward to visit Geelong, an hour 15mins drive from our home. Our kids were happy because today is the third week of us in Coburg and was our first day traveling outstation. We were eager to meet with Pastor Jo Bowes and to get a touch of Geelong before we decide to shift over or to remain in Coburg.

20080524 at 10:30am - Werribee, VIC
While I was driving on the freeway, third lane. Out of a sudden, I felt a huge impact and my car was being pushed aside. In split seconds, I began to realize that, the car which slammed unto me began to loose control and it swayed into a hill sloop.

Everything happened so fast as though you heard the thunder and lightning appeared and disappeared before your eyes. I quickly pulled aside and checked on my car. *Wow!* It was bad! However, the car was worst, easily 5times worst than mine.

Later, after the driver got out from his vehicle, he shared to me that, he felt asleep and by the time he realized his condition, he was about to slam into a truck in front of him. With immediate response, he tried to avoid the truck and hit unto me. At one point, his car was sandwiched between the truck and mine.

I really thank God for the 4WD because it is so solid and hardy. Nobody was injured even though the impact was great, this is because the 4WD had cushioned the impact of it.

You may click to view on the graphic illustrated picture if you are interested to know how the accident took place.

Do have in mind, both the truck and Corey's vehicle were running (easily) 100km/hour.

Elain Loh

Pic: Elain Loh

Elain Loh, a friend of mine whom I've yet to meet. I came into contact with her through my dad's friend, Uncle Leong.
Elain is a very helpful girl. I am so impressed by her willingness and servant-hood attitude. She has assisted me so much, even before we could meet up, for the first time.
Many thanks to you, Elain (if you ever visit my blog).

Like to share with you all...

Greetings from the Tan's to all our family members & friends back home. This is our first family photo in Coburg, VIC.

First of all, I would like to thank all for your love, care, support and prayer ever since we left Malaysia. I belief, many of you are still praying alongside with us. Both Debbie and myself, we really appreciate these efforts and attitude shown. Thanks...

*WoW* I didn't learn about world map until I was much older in primary school. But this boy, he is only 3+, learning it now. Praise God for Sunlight curriculum.

It all started when...

Pic: A wide angle of the park.

Yesterday morning, right after breakfast... Dylan requested if we could visit the park because he would like to fly his Batman's slinger - a new toy bought by Uncle Joey as a gift to him. He has been wanting to try it out since Wednesday. So, we've decided to make his day.

At the park, my kids were enjoying themselves. While I was busy taking pictures of them.

I really like this picture. In fact, I did a continuous shot on this scene.

Pic: Dylan was so engrossed with his Batman sling.

Hey, I tried playing with it too, and really, it is nice and very cool toy to play with. For those of you who enjoy Batman and paper-plane, this is one of the cool toys to own.

Those all our friends back home and in Singapore, we miss you all, very much...
I am adjusting to this place better now, as compare to the first week, the first few days especially. I especially like the lifestyle, the family time together - dinner together at 5:30p. Yeap... your time, 3:30p *smile*.
Here, we rise early and rest early. By 5:30p, the entire sky is like 8p back home.
We would like to welcome all of you over.
Missing you all...

Catching up...

Here are some updates...
Wow! Time flies... Tonight is my 7th night here in Coburg. As family, we touched down on May6, 2008 at 7am (Melbourne time). The flight was overall, good. However, sitting 8hours in the plane is not comfortable as compare to my own bed. So, I didn't sleep the whole night. I had Caylie on my left and Dylan on my right. Guess what... Yeap! I was basically seeing to their needs the entire night and flight. I am glad to have that experience as a father.

Pic: It was already pass mid-night. We were tired but couldn't sleep. Kids are enjoying them-self with TV; Movie and Computer program.
Pic: As usual, Dylan will be the first to 'knock-out'.

As family, we are more or less adjusted to the lifestyle here. The 3angels of mine had never have any problems getting acquittance. However, my dear wife had home-sick syndrome since the very first day. But she is strong... as a woman, she is strong. She could face all challenges and uncertainty. I thank God for her.

After much assistance from mum-in-law; Ebbie and Joey (they are great people!), we managed to open bank accounts and got a car. If not because of them, we would probably be still scouting for accommodation. Many thanks to them!
Pic: Used to be my dream car. Well, the day will come when I would be driving the latest series of the 4WD!

On the 2nd day, in the afternoon, mum and dad took us to a nearby lake. It is a beautiful lake. The kids are having great fun there! With of course, cool-cold, very cold weather and wind blowing towards us...

Last night was an awesome night! God divinely connected us with an apostle of the land. Even though was our first dine-in cum fellowship, but we had so much in common. We are praying if the Lord would have us serve and minister in his churches. That's part of our desire, to serve and be a blessing to the local ministries. I will update you all when there's progress.

Lots to catch up...

Dear family members and friends,
  1. We (Caleb & Debbie's family; Anna-Grace & my father-in-law) departed KLIA, Malaysia at 9pm, Monday and arrived Melbourne Airport at 7am, Tuesday (Australia time). The weather was COLD!!!
  2. Ebbie & Joey's family picked us up from there and we headed straight to their house, which is now mine =) (It's quite a bit of story in this chapter - I will share in length another time).
  3. As soon as we arrived, my mother-in-law got breakfast set!!! *Wow...* We had special treatment - a welcome breakfast.
  4. Immediately after breakfast, Debbie and I got our mobile phone number set in order and *tadar* It's working there and then.
  5. Then, we headed towards the bank and had our bank accounts done. However, their system is a little slow... We are still waiting for the bank to setup the entire system for us.
  6. After, we went to purchase our car - a second hand unit. We didn't get our car until Friday evening.

More to come...
PS: This is just a summary of the past 6days.

Cheers...
